Make finance approachable
Break down investing, markets, and economic concepts so students can build confidence with money and financial decision-making.
Use market simulators
Track hypothetical portfolios, test investment ideas, and learn from both successful and unsuccessful decisions without risking real money.
Connect markets to the world
Discuss how interest rates, technology, inflation, global events, and company news affect markets and investor behavior.
About the Club
Founded by Michael, the Investment Club is designed for students who are curious about business, economics, investing, and personal finance. No prior investing experience is required.
What We Do
Meetings combine practical investing exercises with discussion of current economic and market topics.
Build and track model portfolios over time.
Review business models, earnings, competitive advantages, and risks.
Explore inflation, rates, employment, trade, and major global events.
Learn budgeting, saving, diversification, compounding, and responsible investing.
Practice with a virtual portfolio
Members can begin with a hypothetical $100,000 portfolio and make investment decisions throughout the semester. The goal is not simply to earn the highest return, but to explain the reasoning, risk, and lessons behind each decision.
